The SCIFEST-BASF Tour is coming your way!

Through the continued support of BASF Holdings South Africa, Scifest Africa is set to embark on a journey that aims to interact with as many learners, teachers and members of the public as possible.

The SCIFEST-BASF road tour, scheduled to take place on 22- 27 May 2017,  is one of many tours that will see the promotion of public awareness, understanding and appreciation of STEMI through innovative events with entertainment value and scientific integrity journey through the Eastern Cape.

Schools in Middelburg, Cradock, Fort Beaufort and King Williams’s town can look forward to a tour, which promises hands-on educational workshops, fun and interactive science shows and deep and meaningful community engagement through the Scifest Africa community outreach initiatives.

Scifest Africa recently hosted Africa’s biggest science festival. The Festival was held in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape from 8-14 March and offered visitors an interactive programme consisting of 58 exhibitions and 726 events including 20 lectures, 508 workshops, and 198 other events. The festival was attended by 62,118 visitors from around South Africa who made sure not to miss out on the magnificent, engaging experience of science.
