Scifest Africa, South Africa’s National Science Festival, was established in 1996 to promote the public awareness, understanding and appreciation of science, technology and innovation (STI) in South Africa. Scifest Africa is the largest science festival in Africa, and the 2017 National Science Festival offered an interactive festival programme consisting of 58 exhibitions and 726 events.

Tickets to sought-after shows on the Main programme at this year’s National Arts Festival will be on sale before bookings officially open on 7 May. From 2 April, we will be giving you a taste of some of what will be on offer in Grahamstown between 28 June and 8 July by releasing tickets to some must-see shows – music, dance and theatre.
