Scifest Africa, South Africa’s National Science Festival, was established in 1996 to promote the public awareness, understanding and appreciation of science, technology and innovation (STI) in South Africa. Scifest Africa is the largest science festival in Africa, and the 2017 National Science Festival offered an interactive festival programme consisting of 58 exhibitions and 726 events.
